Weve topped up our native plants collection for the weekend - including a wide range of cold tolerant species and forms. Almost all of the native plants we stock will handle coastal winters and light frosts with no problems, but many will also do well even in more severe Canberra winter conditions if planted with some protection. If youre not sure which native plants will work best in your location drop in for a chat about your exact conditions and we can recommend the right plants for your winter garden. Grevillea Outback Sunrise is an outstanding hybird grevillea which features attractive, fine foliage and yellow/green flowers with bright red styles that are displayed prominently for much of the year. These flowers are very attractive to honey eating birds. Outback Sunrise has a neat, upright habit (grows to 2m tall x 1 metre wide) which makes it a good option for a informal screen. Lightly pruning and removal of flower heads when finished helps to maintain a dense habit. In stock and flowering now in the nursery. Keith #inthenursery #grevilleas #nativeplants

I have two of these beautiful trees in my garden which is at 1050 absl. They were planted by a previous owner. 10 years on, we still get a rush of joy when they begin to flower.

Grevilleas are a great option for attracting honey eating birds to the garden in winter. Our resident Eastern Spinebill is loving the Lady O, Robyn Gordon and Outback Sunrise varieties currently flowering in the nursery. We also have a range of other grevilleas in bud or flowering if you are looking for some instant native colour and nectar in your garden. Keith. #inthenursery #grevilleas #nativeplants

Banksia integrifolia (Coast banksia) is a hardy local native which features bright yellow flowers in autumn and winter and is particularly well suited to coast plantings with sandy soils and high exposure to salt and wind. While the typical plant grows into a small tree and is a bit large for many gardens the prostrate Roller Coaster form is very versatile and can be used as a cascading ground cover on banks, in rockeries or borders. It has also been grafted onto tall standards to create stunning weeping features. We currently have the ground cover form and several tall standards in stock. In the nursery | the beautiful Grevillea leptobotrys Lilac Tangles is a low-mounding WA grevillea which features delicate sprays of uniquely shaped lilac/pink flowers that fade to lighter pink as they age. Lilac Tangles also features blue/grey foliage and attractive reddish/brown new growth - making it an outstanding rockery feature. Grafted plants are hardy in local conditions and naturally develop into neat, compact mounds with minimal pruning. Regarded by many native plant enthusiasts as one of the most outstanding garden grevilleas currently available. Keith. #inthenursery #natives #grevilleas

New in the nursery today are two magnificent standard banksias. The species grafted onto the standard is the Roller Coaster prostrate form of the hardy local coastal Banksia integrifolia. If youre after a striking weeping standard with a very distinctive native feel then these are definitely worth dropping in for a look at! Grafted banksias of any size are very unusual in nurseries - so these will definitely attract a lot of interest. Plants are over a metre tall and are $149.95 each - we can provide free local delivery. Keith. #inthenursery #banksias

We've had a lot of questions about these today - couple more details for anyone interested. The price on these standards is $169.95 (each) - if you're not sure how you might get them home we can arrange deliver (for free between Kianga and Bermagui). They are grafted onto Silky Oak (Grevillea robusta). Flowers are a mix of orange and yellow (see label image). You could grow them in a large pot - at least 900mm wide / deep. We do have some pots here that would be a good option. Best spot to plant them is somewhere sheltered from the wind (and frost) but with plenty of sun and light.Let me know if you are after any extra info. Thanks! Keith.

Do you have any miniature hydrangeas in stock Keith

Beautiful...whats the cost

Could it be trained to grow on a trellis?

Any good for large pots ?

Gorgeous

Do you have this grevillea

We have recently moved to Narooma and just discovered Keith and Desiree at Tilba Nursery....lots of great advice, friendly service and super range and quality of plants...going to be spending lots of time there 😊
