In the nursery | Geralton Wax (Chamelaucium) is poplar native shrub grown for its fragrant flowers and fine green foliage. In recent years plant breeders have developed a large range of hardy compact forms with different flower colours and we have several of these new varieties in the nursery this week. These include 'Dancing Queen' (pink), 'Moonlight Delight' (white) and the compact 'Little Lorey' which features white flowers that age to red. Plants in the nursery are not flowering yet - but most are in bud. Keith. #inthenursery #natives ... See MoreSee Less
Sentimental plant for me...my fathers mum grew them and sold to nursery in Grafton NNSW back in the 50s. Love the dark pink one had a light pink but had to take it out couple years ago

Anigozanthos manglesii is the stunning floral emblem of Western Australia - but it's a kangaroo paw that has traditionally been difficult to maintain in the east. However in recent years breeders have developed 'The Wiz - Red Green' - a select, dwarf form of A. manglesii with much better resistance to ink spot disease. The flowers retain the distinctive red and greens of the species - opening from dark buds. In stock and flowering now - images (by Silverdory Productions) are of plants in the nursery.
