We have two grafted hakea species in stock this week - including the very showy Hakea francisiana 'Intensity' This is a medium to large shrub (up to 4m but can be lightly pruned to size) featuring large sprays or red/pink flowers well displayed in winter to spring. We also have the similar Hakea bucculenta with red flowers in stock.

In the past these showy WA hakeas have proven difficult to keep alive for extended periods in the humid summers of eastern Australia. However in recent years grafted plants have appeared on the market with much hardier rootstock - allowing these spectacular plants to do well in a wider range of conditions.
